What is Tantric Breathwork?
In the ancient practice of tantra, the breath is honoured as the sacred doorway to the vast states of consciousness that we hold the potential to know and be.
Yet unlike other tools that can underground us and be in denial of our physical form, Tantric Breathwork is a deeply embodied and sensual experience.
It is the bridge that moves us between our internal sensory world and our external experience. Our connection to life, body and essence.
Exploring Tantric Breathwork returns us to wholeness and connection, dissolving false beliefs and all that may keep us separate from self, body, others and the world around us.
The benefits of Tantric Breathwork:
Tantric Breathwork re-establishes a relationship to our body and enhances an awareness of our body’s needs and our senses. From this deeper knowing and listening to our body, we are able to expand from within into universal consciousness, rather than an out of body expansion.
Tantric breathing supports the release of stored emotions and past traumatic experiences. There are many times that we may have memory of or not, in which our breath was not fully accessible to us. In breathwork our body is able to access the breath and reset itself, no longer living from suppressed emotion or traumatic event.
Tantric Breathwork supports the release of unhealthy patterns and behaviours. We become more conscious of our actions and what is behind the "do-ing" and in that may regain agency over our lives and choices.
Breathwork regulates the nervous system and reduces stress hormones. We drop away from fight and flight, and hyper-vigilance and drop into calm and stillness as a sustainable experience that we can ground and build upon.
Tantric breath creates space within. We begin to "empty" our story and release our unhealthy attachment to relationships, drama, and chaos.
Tantric Breathwork elevates our vibrational energy.
We reconnect with our natural state of aliveness while breathing and re-ignite our senses, curiosity, creativity and wonder.
Tantric breathing moves our sexual energy from sex, to a union of love and sex. It rebalances and unites our inner masculine and feminine.
We transcend into sexual maturity and liberation. Sex is no longer defined or limited to the act. We know our self as the embodied intelligence of a sexual being.
What do I need to explore Tantric Breathwork?
No belief is required.
Tantra is not a religion.
I would not say it is even what the western world calls spiritual.
It is an exploration... that simply requires a willingness to experience, a sense of curiosity, a playfulness. A longing for a heart full life... a desire for freedom.
All you need is body and breath. Long, slow, connected and deep.
